LeBruin, a leading corporate finance and debt advisory provider, has today launched Origin Capital, a new senior debt funding provider to the Irish commercial real estate market.
Origin Capital is a joint venture between LeBruin and certain investment funds managed by Tricadia Capital Management, LLC, a New York-based investment firm with approximately $4bn in assets under management.
Origin Capital has a mandate to provide €100m of commercial property investment finance in the coming months.
Focussing on €3m – €15m transactions, the new entity is aiming to provide an alternative to traditional funding options by offering clients the opportunity to deal directly with experienced decision makers, who will take a flexible, common sense approach to lending.
According to Chief Executive Ross Metcalfe, “Origin Capital has been launched to meet what we believe is a strong need for funding in the Irish Commercial Real Estate market. Currently many borrowers are reliant on the pillar banks to provide funding and we believe Origin Capital will provide a real alternative for professional property owners.”
Although officially launched today, Origin Capital is currently in discussions regarding a substantial number of transactions, and has a robust pipeline of future funding opportunities.
Continues Metcalfe, “Our initial fund is €100m in size, but a number of investment firms have already expressed an interest in providing additional funding to Origin Capital in anticipation of ongoing demand within the market”.
Origin Capital has been established as a separate entity to LeBruin, and the two businesses will operate independently. For more information on Origin Capital, please visit www.origincapital.ie or click here to follow Origin Capital on LinkedIn.
